If you have read our wedding photography blog before, you probably know that one of our signature shots is the bridal party jumping up in the air. We cannot remember how it all started, and it usually isn’t something we or the bridal party plan in advance. What normally happens is that at the end of this beautiful event called wedding, everyone’s so happy and high on the good vibe that it becomes the most natural thing to do – let’s all do the jump .
Well, today you will see another jump. This time, it’s not just any jump, but the one that was voted the best we ever took on our Facebook Page. You can see all the entries here. This title belongs to the Joneses, Margaret and Neil, who everyone else struggled to keep up with .
Margaret had a lovely dress, which I described to my wife when I got home after the wedding as either off white, champagne or beige . Marina knows that I’m still not very good at wedding dress colours, but I’m working on it . Margaret paired the dress with a sensible pair of lovely flat shoes, she was definitely more comfortable and mobile than a high-heeled bride.
Both the wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Burswood Park Golf Course, a very nice venue, particularly for ceremonies with its lovely manicured lawns and interesting roof structures that we wedding photographers like to use for our backdrops. In between the ceremony and reception, we went for some location wedding photography to a nearby park within the high-rise apartment complex called The Peninsula, Burswood. We just love these location shots, which shows that you don’t have to have a grand background to get great photos.
The Joneses had the most original cake ever – pink and chocolate doughnuts!
