To all prospective wedding photographers in Perth who are still thinking over whether to jump into the realm of professional wedding photography, we say just do it! It really is an awesome profession, made even more awesome when you get days like the one we had for the wedding of Natasha and Owen. Perth turned out a beautiful spring day, we visited some really beautiful locations, and the whole bridal party brought out a wealth of warmth, positive energy, laughter and good vibe.
We started the day somewhat unusually, without bride preparation shots before the ceremony. The ceremony was held at the St Columba's Catholic Parish in South Perth. That is the church located on top of a hill and clearly visible even from the Perth CBD side of the Swan River.
For location shots, we drove down to Fremantle and we wondered around the Cliff Street area. This area is really as good as it gets for wedding photography in Perth with lovely architecural backdrops and some magical late afternoon light. Before heading over to the wedding reception at the Ocean Beach Hotel in Cottesloe, we stopped by the blue boat shed on Mounts Bay Road for a couple of quick snaps.
