Leanne and Craig | Blog of Wedding Photography in Perth

We love going to new places, the ones we have not photographed at before. Admittedly, in and around Perth, the number of such places has dwindled down so much that we rarely get such an opportunity. One of those opportunities was presented for Leanne and Craig’s wedding in mid November.

The wedding was held at the Leonda Function Centre, Mundijong. This is a very secluded place, like a well guarded secret. It is beyond reach of the modern technology – it does not have a functioning website for us to hyperlink to in this text, and even Google Maps and Garmin GPS do not know where it is. Having said all that, we have to give props to the good old Street Directory for getting us there without a hassle.

It’s probably a good thing that not many people know about them, otherwise they would be swamped with wedding photographers all the time. They have what is probably the Perth’s best kept secret as far as wedding photography locations go. A beautiful nearby alley of trees left us flabbergasted when we saw it first. Lovely late afternoon light there made for some fantastic photography that we are very proud of.

Thank you Leanne and Craig for this opportunity. You fought off the hot weather and the swarm of flies all day, and you brought such energy to the photoshoot. We hope that these photos convey at least a small part of love that we witnessed on the day.

Laura and Chris | Perth Wedding Photography Blog

Laura and Chris’s wedding was one of those weddings that make you really love your wedding photography job. First, we had lovely bride and groom, then we had a particularly stylish bridal party, then we witnessed a natural and emotional wedding ceremony and to top it all off, we were blessed with gorgeous light and wonderful locations for photography.

We started the day with preparation shots of Laura and her wonderful bridesmaids. The wedding ceremony was held at one of the best spots in Kings Park, near the picnic area off Saw Avenue. The nearby pine trees also happen to be our favourite spot for wedding photography in Kings Park so naturally, we did not venture far for the first lot of shots. Some of Laura and Chris’s portraits taken there, as well as a bridal party group shots are real favourites of ours and we included them in the home page slideshow of our revamped, fancy schmancy website at http://www.objektiv.com.au.

We made a brief stop at the well-known, and well-featured on this blog blue boat shed on Mounts Bay Road, before heading off to Swanbourne Beach for some warm late afternoon light.

This was a truly special day, and we are truly grateful to have been a part of it.

Tammy and Nat | Mandurah Wedding Photography

One Saturday in October gave us a chance to do something we have not done for a while – photograph a wedding in Mandurah, take photos in rain and have location photos done before the ceremony.

Tammy and Nat made all this possible with their wedding at the Mandurah Quay Resort. We love this area of Mandurah, where you feel like you’ve reached the end of the world as you look over to the vast waterways. Tammy and Nat wanted things done a little bit differently with the photos done before the ceremony. Naturally, we did the “first look” photo which is one of our favourite ways of capturing the purity of wedding day emotions.

Doing photos early turned out to be a great idea, as the rain started just as we finished. Having rain during the ceremony was also great, as rain always brings good luck to the newlyweds. Or so Marina and I were told when it rained on our wedding day Smile. Tammy and Nat took everything in stride, even when sprinklers decided to come on as we obviously did not have enough water Smile.

It all made for an unforgettable afternoon that we will always treasure. Special high five goes to the lovely flower girl Bella that charmed us all.
