Zalina & Lee | Perth Steampunk Wedding Photos

We always try to stress to couples that there is no right or wrong way to do your wedding. Feel free to express yourselves, and as long as you feed people, and they have fun, it’s all good.

Case in point – the amazing Steampunk wedding rocked by Zalina and Lee. We still don’t know how they got everyone, from the bridal party to their older relatives to get fully dressed up, although, it’s such an amazing theme, it’s no wonder everyone got excited about it. And how amazing did everybody look!?

Even Andrew the celebrant was in full costume.

Feast your eyes on the dresses and details, and the wonderful locations we went to starting with His Majesty’s Theatre, onto Wolf Lane, ceremony at the Bell Tower and finally to reception at the Bells Function Centre.

Caris & Rostyn Griffiths Wedding | Perth Wedding Photography

This year we had quite a few late April and May weddings, which seems to be coming into fashion. All of them were very lucky with the weather, but none more so than Caris and Rostyn – just pay attention to how the weather goes from rain, to no rain as soon as the bride appears, to full sun during ceremony. Now, that’s magic!

So, are there any Perth Glory fans here? ūüėČ Mladen was particularly starstruck with all the footballers around, and with Caris’ media friends, there weren’t many camera shy guests at this wedding – awesome!

You will see in the details that our couple got surprised with a painting of themselves, which the artist Shakey was doing all afternoon and evening. A very original gift indeed.

The ceremony and reception were both held at the Oakover Grounds.

Ena and Amar | Perth Wedding Photographer

We are timing this blog post to welcome Ena and Amar back from their amazing European honeymoon (#jealous).

All weddings require a lot of time and work, but some just go that one step beyond. This is one of them, and I’m sure you will find a lot of inspiration in the details.

‚ÄúOur ceremony was outside on a lawn on top of a hill, with the most incredible view behind us,‚ÄĚ explains Ena. ‚ÄúWe were always looking at venues near the Swan River as it reminded both of us of our upbringings in former Yugoslavia, and both of us having lived in towns with rivers flowing through them.‚ÄĚ

Mosman Golf Club was therefore the ideal ceremony location, followed by a reception at Rambla on Swan. ‚ÄúWe knew that our reception venue had to have a comfortable but elegant feel to it,‚ÄĚ smiles the bride. Ena took pride in styling the venue, incorporating chic and romantic details like white wood furniture, candles, florals and rose gold touches.

Amar’s imput was mainly basketball related, with groomsmen all receiving a customised ball, and also their celebrant was none other than Damian Martin of Wildcats!

Erika and Adam | Perth Wedding Photography

If you are after inspiration for a modern urban wedding, we give you Erika and Adam. Their March wedding happened on a cloudy day with even some rain, but this gave us a stunning, dramatic backdrop for photos.

The wedding ceremony was held at Sacred Heart College Chapel, in Sorrento, and after the hearty congratulations from friends and family we went for some location photos. Their bridal party was great fun, and we got some amazing shots, including fantastic graffiti walls in Leederville.

The couple chose a cocktail style reception, held in a marquee outside the Nedlands Yacht Club.

Here is the list of the suppliers who helped make the day:

  • Food Trucks:

o   Hey Pesto Food Truck

o   Sunny Jim’s Mobile Wood Fired Pizza

o   Shiraz Soft Serve

o   The Busy Bean Coffee Company

  • Furniture, Lighting and Marquee:¬† Event Mill

Tory and Hamid | Perth Beach Wedding Photographer

This gorgeous couple is into beach life, and beach sports, and originally wanted to go to Bali for their wedding, but in the end decided to bring Bali to Perth. This was an intimate event at one of Trigg’s smaller beaches, with luscious palm branches and sunny frangipanis, and one much loved dog. Knowing the bride and groom have a lot of family overseas makes it even more important for us to know we captured the right atmosphere and emotions.

Nisha & Nitesh | Perth Wedding Photography

If you need a boost of colour and inspiration, feast your eyes on this beautiful Indian wedding. The ceremony was going over a few days, but the main event was held at the Nedlands Yacht Club. Nisha is one of the most beautiful brides we’ve ever had the opportunity to photograph, and look, Nitesh is quite easy on the eyes too ūüėČ He arrived to the wedding in style, the guys will appreciate the black Lamborghini. Girls will appreciate the sari designs.

Bree & Jack | Perth Wedding Photography

Feast your eyes on the classic¬†elegance that is Bree and Jack’s wedding. Everything from the gown, bridesmaids dresses, lovely ceremony at St Albans Church in Highgate, to the beautifully styled long tables at City Farm for the reception is pure perfection.

For the location photos we went to Hyde Park, followed by the place where Jack proposed, Elizabeth Key. The couple had fun on the carousel, a few more photos in front of the amazing building at Supreme Court Gardens, and then it was off to their reception venue to greet the guests and enjoy the evening.

The amazing graphics, including the place settings, done by Butterfly Days.

Madeleine & Naviin | Perth Wedding Photography

Two weddings from Core Cider House in a row. And a great example how the weather impacts the colours and mood of photos. Madeleine and Naviin not only have the most beautiful names, they also have faces to match. Sweethearts from high school, the tenderness between these two will melt you. We braved the rain a few times to go out into the orchard to get some good photos. Their guests enjoyed a cocktail reception at Core with live music.

Bec & Ben | Perth Wedding Photographer

Bec and Ben are not only super sweet, they’re lots of fun as well. Their wedding was both beautiful and elegant, but also relaxed. Sharing the wedding with their kids made it all the more perfect. Bec’s daughter Layla was a gorgeous bridesmaid, and their adorable son Max was the ringbearer.¬†Core Cider House was the perfect host as always. They made sure the ceremony and reception went ahead without a hitch, and they looked after not only the bride and groom, but the photographer as well! The photos from the flowering orchard in glorious afternoon sun are some of our favourites of all time.

The gorgeous flowers are courtesy of Caflora Couture. The styling for ceremony and reception by Ceremony Secrets.

Bec’s elegant curls were done by Loren Dempsey and her flawless make-up by Brittanie Dyer.

Linda & Adrian | Perth Wedding Photography

This was such a fun wedding to be a part of, with all the wonderful people, places and details. Alex Hotel, where the guys got ready, Perth Cultural Centre and Northbridge where we did pre-ceremony photos, and of course the majestic State Theatre Centre, where Adrian and Linda were lucky to have secured one of few available spots during the year. Their tea ceremony, wedding ceremony and reception were all held there, and it sure made for some amazing images.
