Start with the free server

Connect your TV or mobile app to a running Mimir server on the same network. Native apps have a free trial and require a subscription after it. Check the app store for trial eligibility, duration, local pricing and renewal terms.

The server includes a full web interface, and it isn't a cut-down fallback; it's the same guide grid, the same channel management, the same scheduling and the same playback the apps use, running in any modern browser. Plenty of people will find it's all they ever need, particularly on a laptop or a tablet.

The TV apps are designed for a remote and a guide you can read from the sofa. The mobile apps put live channels, recording controls and your saved programs on the phone or tablet in your hand.

The server is free and stays free regardless. The apps are free to download and need a subscription to use, with a free trial to start, and that's what pays for the work on both.
