Short, private voice messages for families. A parent records a quick message, chooses who should hear it, and sees a “Got it” reply when it has been heard. Encrypted before it leaves the phone, and available on both Android and iPhone.

Objektiv is a software consultancy based in Perth, Western Australia. For more than 25 years we have designed, built and maintained custom software across the web, mobile and enterprise, for our own products and for the people who trust us with theirs.

How much does custom software cost?

Can you take over an existing codebase?
Yes. Taking on an existing codebase, or replacing a system that has grown hard to change, is a lot of what we do. We read the code and talk to the people who use it, then tell you honestly whether to extend it, refactor it or replace it.
Do you build mobile apps for iPhone and Android?
Yes. We build native apps in Swift and Kotlin, and cross-platform apps where one codebase is the better trade-off. We also handle App Store and Google Play submission.
Do you work with clients outside Perth?
Yes. We are based in Perth and work with clients across Australia and overseas, across time zones, with regular calls and progress you can see as it happens.
How long does a custom software project take?
A focused website can be live in a few weeks. A mobile app or an enterprise integration is usually measured in months. We work in short iterations and show you something working early rather than disappearing until the end.
Do you provide ongoing support?
Yes. We support what we build, with fixes, changes and advice for as long as you need it. Most clients keep us on after launch.
What technologies do you use?
Whatever suits the problem. In practice that means Kotlin and Swift for mobile, TypeScript, Node.js and Python on the server, and Google Cloud, Docker and Firebase for infrastructure.
